St John’s Choir
The Church Choir sings at the main 10.00am Sung Mass every week (except 
during August). The adult members attend weekly. They rehearse on Thursdays from 8.15pm to 9.30pm and on Sundays at 9.20am.
The Junior Choir usually sings on the second and fourth Sundays of each month (except in August) and meets on those days at 8.45am to prepare for the service.
There is an anthem at the 10.00am Mass and often a choir member will sing the responsorial psalm. The church also has the support of a team of five other organists who play regularly alongside John: Neil Stevenson, Nick Jones, Marilyn Harper, Andrew Baars and Emily Elias. Other instrumentalists are also involved from time to time.
At the most important times of the year (such as Holy Week), the Choir sings at special services. The Fauré Requiem is sung annually to commemorate the departed in November and extra singers are welcome to join us.
New singers are welcome, both adults and children.
